Vegan Cheesy Sauce Recipe

What you need:

  • Food processor or a high-speed blender

Ingredients

  • 1/2 tsp. vegetable broth powder
  • 1 C. raw cashews                                     1 tsp. Dijon mustard
  • 1 C. water or nondairy milk product        1/2 tsp. Garlic powder
  • 1/2 C. nutritional yeast
  • 2 T. fresh lemon juice                               1/2 tsp. Onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp Paprika                                          1/2 tsp. Pink Himalayan salt

Directions

Soak the cashews overnight in water and then drain. Toss all ingredients into your food processor or blender and run until smooth. Adjust to your personal taste.* If you are new to vegan recipes, nutritional yeast is a food supplement and is not “active” as bread yeast is. It cannot be used in baking. It is high in B12 and It will store for a very long time in a tight container.

Storing cheesy sauce

Refrigerate for up to 4 days in a sealed container. This will make around 2 cups.
