About Me

Where I Live

Born and residing in small-town Northern Minnesota, I enjoy the great outdoors in all of our lovely seasons. I also have a little photography site called naturewalkscenic.weebly.com

Photography is a hobby and I will showcase some of my work in my posts, just for something to look at. I am married, have one wonderful son, a daughter-in-law I also adore and a very bright, energetic grandson I wish I could see more often. (Don’t we all?) I have one daughter who resides outside of the States. I wish I were not estranged from her but that was the course life took.

My Work

My days are filled with caring for others, as I work in Home Care. It is a real delight to help care for, cook, clean, and run errands for my consumers. I have been in the healthcare sector for more than 20 yrs and I will have tips on making this job easier, so if you work in this field please check back in.

My main goal is to retire from my current role and continue earning a living as a freelance writer as I did before life forced me back into a traditional working environment.

My Life

I am 54 years of age and have earned each one of them. Some are very trying, others content. After all, life is never easy is it? I reside with my husband and feline friends, 2 males, 2 females, named Bob who just turned 1 yr, Charley who adopted us and I guess him to be around 12, Skeeter passed on in 2020 and KitKat left us a few short months later at 20. Never a dull moment here! We have a new addition as of October 2021. Mokey is a Blue Russian street cat I have recently written about.

Throughout the years before I even decided to start blogging I have researched many areas of naturopathic ways to regain and remain healthy which I implement into my own life. I will share some of this.

I am a fairly new Christian who believes that Jesus lived, preached, healed many, was persecuted, crucified, and rose again the third day. I was baptized by emersion and have given my life to the Lord. I share the good news of the gospel and will do so on this blog and other platforms.

Before discovering Jesus I lived a life in darkness and have often felt a trace of bitterness toward those who raised me because Jesus should have been a great part of my life from the beginning but I was not raised in a Christian home. Quite frankly it was the total opposite. I am an incest survivor who drank and smoked a good portion of my life away. I am now free from this life, thanks and praise to The Lord who has given me the victory of these sins. That is a life I will never return to because it wasn’t LIVING. That was a very slow, painful road to an eternal grave.

My Hobbies

I enjoy cooking healthy meals that do not “taste healthy’ (or my husband would not eat them, wink) Crafting is a hobby, and my new love, crocheting has really got me hooked! I will soon jump into learning how to knit as well. I am a fourth-generation pianist and have been playing since the age of five. I never did learn how to read music, much to my great-grandmother’s chagrin.

I dabble in painting and watercolors, enjoy gardening, decorating, and a good movie to end my day.

I research daily, always seeking new inventive ways to simplify everyday meals to fit into a busy schedule, yet still remain healthy and delicious.

I Look forward to sharing ideas and getting to know you. I will also be writing product reviews and most of my posts will contain safe affiliate links to these products which I hope will be utilized as this little blog will need your blessings to succeed. Please join my newsletter as it becomes available and share my blog. Thank you! Make each and every day count for something!
