Is The Bible Just A Book of Stories?

Is The Bible Just A Book of Stories?

How many times have you heard that the Bible is just a book of stories that have nothing to do with reality or the future? What do you believe and why?

Who Wrote The Bible?

So, let’s begin with this question. Exactly who did write the Bible? I found an excellent website and here is a link to a video that explains who wrote the Bible and discusses how archeology supports the validity of the Bible: Is the Bible True Video

Compiled Over a 1,500-year span

There are 66 books in the Bible, written by 40 inspired writers from all walks of life. Our creator divinely chose these writers to share His plan of salvation with the world. This includes all who are alive today! Read 2 Timothy 3:16 in your own Bible which states that God inspires all scripture.

The Only Book Whose Prophecies Have Come true

Have you ever wished that you could see the future? The Bible contains over 600 prophecies that have come to pass and none have been proven false. If we want to know the future all one needs to do is pick up the Bible and read it, specifically the books of Daniel and Revelation.

The book of Revelation takes the reader through the history of the world and also shows what will happen in the end when Jesus returns. Some Pastors avoid the last book of the Bible because it contains many symbols. To understand the future we must look into the past and allow the Bible to translate itself.

A Supernatural Book

The Bible is not only divinely inspired but it is also supernaturally protected by God. How many other books do you know that have survived as many years fully intact? Think back to over a thousand years ago and consider what these writers had to put words on. Papyrus was the common medium to write on and many other such writings did not survive but somehow the books of the Bible did.

When archeologists discovered the dead sea scrolls, the old testament books were found to be word for word to what we read in our Bibles today. It is truly amazing and only a supreme being could preserve His word for so long. As it is written:

not one jot or tittle will pass from the Law until it is all fulfilled (Matt. 5:18) Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away. (Matthew 24:35)

The Time Of The End

We as Christians believe that the time of the end is now and soon the Great Tribulation will be upon us. Some believe that God’s remnant will be raptured away before this tribulation but this is not Biblical. All who survive until the end will be caught up in the air with Jesus. He saves us through great tribulation, not FROM it.

The Signs of The Times

37 But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,

39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. (Matthew 24: 37-39 KJV)

Noah warned his people and pleaded with them to turn to the Lord. He did this for over 100 years as he was building the ark that God commanded him to build.

This is how Jesus described His second coming. Looking at the world today it is easy to see the similarities between those people and those who live today. They turn away from the word of God, mock those who follow Jesus, and dismiss the Bible as just some book that somebody wrote.

Satan Delights in Those Who Reject God

If you reject God you are living for Satan. It is that simple. Even if you claim to believe in neither, that the universe controls itself, you are still on the side of Satan. NOT believing in something doesn’t make it go away.

Will you be safe from the final judgment by claiming ignorance? No. Will there be a chance to change your mind once the tribulation begins? No.

“He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.” (Revelation 22:11 KJV)

Once the final tribulation begins there are no changing sides because probation will be closed. That’s why it is so important to choose life NOW while there is still time to have your name entered into the book of life and survive the 7 last plagues.

Is Satan Real? Yes, he is.

Heavenly Father, I pray that the person reading this will be touched by your Holy Spirit and their eyes will be opened to your loving truth and promise of everlasting life when Jesus returns. In Jesus’ name, I ask and pray, Amen.
