What Is A Plant Based Diet-You will love the benefits!

What is a plant-based diet? You will love the benefits!

If you aren’t eating a plant-based diet you should, because you will love the benefits! Are you aware that people who consume a plant-based diet on average weigh less, have fewer health issues such as diabetes, high blood pressure, and are healthier in general than those who consume processed foods and a lot of meat?

What is a plant-based diet?

Quite simply put, a plant-based diet is one that omits meat and processed foods either entirely or mostly. Did you know that all of our needed protein can be found in plants? If you are a Christian then you are already aware of this fact, because God never meant for people to eat the flesh of animals. He created every plant and herb to feed us.

What do you eat on a plant-based diet?plant based cookbook

There is such a variety of food to eat, I don’t miss eating meat all of the time. But, a plant-based diet consists of vegetables, fruits, nuts, legumes, whole grains, and fruits. The possibilities are endless when dreaming up meals and once you learn plant-based alternatives for meat you won’t miss the carnivore life either! Have you tried plant-based breakfast sausages? I absolutely love them! My favorite “sausage” can be found in many stores and is made by Morning Star. I have served them to my husband who is my total opposite and since there were no negative comments, that to me is a thumbs up!

Do you have to omit all meat?

Honestly, I eat a mostly plant-based diet myself and am still enjoying the benefits. I omitted red meat (beef) because this is what caused the most inflammation in my body. I have not eaten pork or any form of seafood for years now, and here is why: all seafood are bottom-feeding creatures who are literally the ocean’s filtration system, and pigs will eat anything you toss at them, plus, they are full of parasites and worms. This is true!

Would You Eat From Your Toilet?

When I discovered that all shellfish, oysters, and clams dine on the sludge at the bottom of the oceans and seas, I did my research and discovered that this “food” is toxic and according to our good Lord, not meant to be food at all but indeed our Earth’s filtration system! Think about this: as these creatures are being “fished out” and their numbers decrease, the pollution in the waters increase. Read Leviticus 11 and get the full list of foods we should not eat.

My Health Vs My Husbands

As I said earlier, my husband is the opposite of me and it really shows. He continues to abuse his body while I have totally changed. I no longer drink alcohol or smoke cigarettes. Just throwing those two things out of my life was an immense benefit to my health, yet the dietary changes have increased my weight loss and energy. I sleep better and feel stronger, which motivates me to exercise more…see how it works?

Hypertension reversed

I was borderline hypertensive for years. My last visit to a doctor showed normal blood pressure. My husband is on high blood pressure medication and has type 2 diabetes and medicated for that as well. He is too stubborn to change his diet to save his own life. He will cook for himself because he doesn’t like anything “healthy”. Here is something funny: I made chili with ground turkey and organic beans and sauce. Would you consider this a healthy meal? He ate that no problem!

Vegetable Pasta Is A Winner In A Plant-Based Diet

Have you tried pasta made from spinach? The only difference is the color and fewer carbs are the benefit. Spaghetti squash is another favorite of mine. The texture is different than pasta but just imagine all of the vitamins that are packed into this! Loaded with vitamins A, C, D, B6, Magnesium, Iron, who wouldn’t want to make this simple change? It is pretty easy to make a healthy meal without meat, but if you want, there is TVP or textured vegetable protein that resembles ground beef and will absorb the flavors of whatever sauce you are using. It will fool your picky eater.
