Who Wouldn’t Be Happy In Heaven?
This is a very good question: Who wouldn’t be happy in heaven? Even though we Christians will not be spending eternity in heaven because when the thousand years after Jesus returns is over, the earth will be made new. I for one am excited to have the opportunity to witness creation firsthand, aren’t you?
Revelation 21:1:
“And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.”
Each of us has the opportunity. But some will never take this opportunity for different reasons, yet who wouldn’t be happy in heaven? Who wouldn’t be happy living on a new earth where there will be no more sin, sickness, or death, and we will be free to live and work for ourselves and explore the vast universe at our leisure.
However, we will still keep God’s Holy Sabbath day to fellowship and worship Him who is the creator of all things and will save us from eternal death. But would you obey this commandment in order to live forever?
Exodus 20:8-12 NKJV “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD your God.” (For clarification, Saturday is the Sabbath.)
Who Will Reject This Promise?
- Unbelievers. For those who do not believe in God, the Bible or its contents are real.
- Those who choose to live in darkness and have no desire to learn the truth.
- Sinners who only desire the pleasures this corrupt world offers. They would not be happy without their worldly treasures or sinful habits and lifestyles.
Who Will Be Happy In Heaven?
- Those who love Jesus and the great sacrifice He made for everyone.
- Those who desire a life without sin, to live forever with our Lord and savior.
- Them who happily keep the commands of God out of love and faith, and seek Him daily.
- Them who seek God’s kingdom over the short life of sin on this dying world.

Being a Christian really isn’t a choice most of us make. It is a calling by the Holy Spirit and I feel so very blessed to have finally heard Jesus calling me to come out of the dark. When we feel there is something missing in life and begin to search for what that something is, that’s when the Holy Spirit begins to speak louder.
My life was lived in darkness until the Holy Spirit convicted me in my 40s. I am now in my mid-fifties and feel as if my life has just begun! Life has never been sweeter now that Jesus is in it, and I mean that from the bottom of my heart. I was a drinker and a smoker who was miserable in every sense and now I know why.
Ephesians 4:17-24
17This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you should no longer walk as [f]the rest of the Gentiles walk, in the futility of their mind, 18having their understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart; 19who, being past feeling, have given themselves over to lewdness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.
20But you have not so learned Christ, 21if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus: 22that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, 23and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, 24and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.
Once the Holy Spirit takes over, something wonderful begins to happen and we really do change from the inside. He really does give us a new mind and a new heart. The things I once loved I have no desire for and if anyone should ask me if I miss this or that I can honestly say I do not!
I do not miss smelling like an ashtray and now get a headache from second-hand smoke. In fact, I find it disgusting. I have no desire for any form of alcoholic beverage, nor do I enjoy the same music as in years past. Life is wonderful and knowing what we can look forward to when Jesus returns is all I can focus on now-the future!
Who wouldn’t be happy in heaven, and then eternity in paradise, with no pain or death ever again? My choice is clear. How about yours?
