The Only Commandment That Says Remember
Assuming you have read the Ten Commandments that God wrote in stone with His finger, you may recall the 4th which reads:
8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
11 For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it. Exodus 20:8-11
Sunday is the first day of the week and there has never been any dispute about this.
Why Do We Worship On Sunday?
The Roman catholic church took it upon itself to change the Holy Sabbath Day to Sunday, in observance of Christ’s resurrection after His crucifixion on the cross. Nowhere in the Bible can you find proof that God changed His Sabbath day! His commandments will never change because God himself remains the same.

- Psalm 102:27 “But You are the same and Your years will not come to an end”
- Hebrews 13:8 – Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
- Psalms 89:34 – My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.
- Psalms 90:2 – Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou [art] God.
Bible Truth On The Sabbath
- Mark 2:27-28
And He said to them, “The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath. Therefore the Son of Man is also Lord of the Sabbath.” - Luke 4:16
So He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up. And as His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read. - Exodus 31:16-17
Therefore the children of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, to observe the Sabbath throughout their generations as a perpetual covenant. It is a sign between Me and the children of Israel forever; for in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day He rested and was refreshed.”” - Exodus 31:13
“Speak also to the children of Israel, saying: “Surely My Sabbaths you shall keep, for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations, that you may know that I am the LORD who sanctifies you.
These passages make it quite clear to me which day should be kept Holy. Jesus Himself worshipped on the Sabbath.
