The Truth About The Sabbath
Are you a Christian and want the truth about the sabbath? Why does it matter what day we keep Holy…isn’t that an old testament rule that doesn’t apply anymore?
Grab a seat and hold on friend, because it DOES matter and it DOES apply to us! It matters and you want to know the truth or you wouldn’t be here reading this right now, would you?
First, let’s begin with your experience in church. You grew up going to Sunday school either before or after service on Sunday and therefore Sunday has always been the day to keep Holy. Is this right? I never grew up going to church but anytime I heard about church service or went by one, the sign always said Sunday worship, and most are still worshipping on Sunday.
Why Worship On Sunday?
Well, Sunday is the Lord’s day, isn’t it? Is it? Where in the Bible, (which is The Lord God’s Holy book) does it say that we are to worship Him on Sunday? Go ahead and look…I will wait…Find it yet? Still waiting…
Who Said Sunday?
First of all, believe me when I say the last thing I want to do is to make anyone angry or say that any denomination is better than the rest. There are followers of Christ in every denomination, good people who love the Lord and spend their lives in His service who may not be aware of the truth about the Sabbath.
In the fourth century, Constantine (the Roman emperor) claimed conversion to Christianity in order to get Christians and pagans to worship together. He was one” tool” that satan used in order to get God’s people to worship him instead of God. Yes, this is very true!
Anyway, he made himself bishop of the Catholic church and then enacted the first civil law proclaiming Sunday as the day of rest. (This being the venerable day of the sun and Pagans were sun worshippers) Read the whole story by visiting: The history behind the Sunday law
The Roman Catholic church outwardly admits to changing this Holy day
Was that large enough to be read AND understood? Nobody is telling a lie by saying the catholic church changed God’s Holy day! It is the absolute truth, so now let’s see what does God says about this…
Daniel 7:25: And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.
Can God’s Laws Be Changed?
Weren’t God’s laws written in stone with His own finger? Yes, they were, and since they were in stone they were to remain forever. Matthew 5:18 18For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
Why Does It Matter?
Read the Fourth Commandment (that was written in stone)8Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: 10But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: 11For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
and you should re-read the first book of the Bible. Here, I will give it to you: Genesis 2:
The Sabbath day was blessed by God. The Sabbath commandment was written in stone and therefore cannot be changed by any man! That is why it is important! This commandment is the only one that begins with REMEMBER.
It does matter what day we worship our creator, because in the last days (we are living in the last days) it will be a matter of who we worship: God or The Beast of Revelation.
God’s Sabbath day of rest is the 7th (Saturday). The beast’s day is the 1st (Sunday) And whether you think so or not, if you attend worship services on Sunday, you are, in fact, worshipping the beast.
