Is your life at risk? Welcome back, friends! If you are a Christian, welcome back, brothers and sisters! I have had this blog online for a year and up until now did not know in what direction it was going. The Lord has impressed upon me the importance of sharing the gospel and winning souls before His soon return. How is your relationship with Jesus? Is your life at risk or are you confident in your destination when He comes to harvest the earth? Learn Bible truth so that you will not be deceived!

Does Believing In Jesus Make You A Christian?

What do you think? Is it enough to simply believe in Jesus to be considered a Christian? This is a topic that requires some study to learn bible truth. More than a few people have been deceived by this false doctrine that satan would have the whole world be fooled into thinking! Being a Christian is more than that, and the word itself suggests a deeper meaning. Romans 10:9-10 – That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

It is this verse that impresses upon people that all we need to do is believe and we will be among those who are raised in the first resurrection. Satan delights in this false sense of security because he knows full well that or savior requires more than this. Believing in Jesus is just the beginning.

Part of my own testimony is in each of my articles. Jesus never lies, and when He said “No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and He will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation, He will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.” 1 Corinthians 10:13

It was this promise that I claimed each and every day for a month before I quit smoking cigarettes. It was a promise to Jesus after He removed alcohol from my life. Praying and communing with our Savior daily was a comfort to me and the morning of that quit date I got out of bed, thanked Jesus for my victory, and haven’t had the desire to smoke since! Can I get an Amen?

He Promises Victory

Each day I give thanks in prayer, sometimes I weep. I had smoked for over 35 years and failed to quit dozens of times, but when I gave my life-and addictions to God, He took it all and life is so sweet! Once we become followers of Christ, there is no obstacle too large to overcome. It is a daily commitment, to deny self, pick up our cross, and follow Him. Is it worth it? I for one have never been happier!

Is Your Life At Risk?

It is more important than ever to learn the Bible truth because we as Christians know by reading His word that Jesus will be coming very soon. No, we cannot know the day or the hour. “Watch, therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh”. Matthew 25:13.

Even Jesus himself did not know when He spoke this to His disciples. He is aware now though and wants us all to watch for the signs and all of His prophecies (except one) have already been fulfilled! Which one has yet to be fulfilled? Jesus glorious second coming…are you ready?

How Do We Follow Christ?

•  Believing in Jesus is a requirement.
• We should have an ongoing relationship with Him via daily prayer, study, and communion.
• We must confess our sins to Him and then repent and turn away from living a sinful life.
• Being Baptized into His family
• We should strive to live a clean life that is pleasing to God.

Conversion takes time, although there are accounts of people who choose to follow Christ and their conversion is instantaneous. That is proof that God still works miracles in our lives if we believe in our hearts and are sincere. Once we learn bible truth and what He has planned for us, it is easy to follow Jesus!

Eternal Life Or Destruction

Once we learn bible truth, it becomes clear that there are only two choices:

1. Follow Jesus and be rewarded with eternal life in the new kingdom.
2. Follow Satan and be among those who are destroyed upon Jesus’ return.

We Cannot Serve Two Masters

Here is what Satan AKA Lucifer wants the world to believe and has been implementing into our churches: It’s okay to enjoy that glass of wine and that cigar/cigarette after a meal. Did you over-indulge last night? That’s okay too, as long as you believe in Jesus you’re saved and can do and act any way you please. What is bible truth on this subject?

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 – What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost [which is] in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

Romans 12:2 – And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what [is] that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Romans 12:1 – I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, [which is] your reasonable service.

Colossians 3:17 – And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, [do] all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

Come As You Are

Don’t think that you need to clean up your life before you can begin to follow Jesus because that is what He is there for! He is waiting for you right now to reach out to Him because we can do nothing without Him, but with God all things are possible! Matthew 19:26
